But I think they're hard to use for people who can't read any Chinese.ĭarkstar wrote:Where did you get the modified VMM.SYS from? Is it available from MS somewhere? Or did you patch it yourself? As far as I know, it was a modified version from ProgWare, a YouTube user. And there're also other websites, Baidu and 360 are more popular than others. It also provides fast speed (about 1 MB/s for me) and big capacity (36TB or bigger). We also use 360 Cloud disk if we don't want to use Baidu client to download big files. Its disadvantage is that you have to use their client to download big files. We prefer to use Baidu Netdisk for the fast speed (4.7 MB/s for me) and it has 2TB capacity for every user to use. I also recompressed it under 7-zip, now it is half the size. Thanks for the re-upload, though it will still use the. why do people still use file sharing websites that need you to pay in order to download at a manageable speed. The README.TXT file and Setup program display messages will be changed to reflect this. This is due to the fact that Windows loads the original version of VMM.SYS in memory after the first part of Setup is finished, before it is replaced by the updated version. It has just been discovered that if you attempt to run Microsoft Virtual PC after Setup is finished without restarting your computer, the operating system will still crash. The reason why I uploaded it to the FTP server was so that members here could use it if they needed to, since many of them are using Windows 8 and yet at the same time would prefer to use Virtual PC for certain releases, especially older operating systems.Īlso, it was for this reason that I specifically requested it to be uploaded to the "(Misc) Support" section rather than the Applications section, since I was the one who added the updated files for it to run on Windows 8.
